10 am-4 pm House Museum Open, FREE Admission

Ongoing all day: a locally sourced marketplace of vendors and organizations, sample honey and honey beer, live demos, and lots of learning! Plus, G-Town Radio will be onsite broadcasting live!

11 am to 3 pm Children’s activities

11:00 am  GRAND OPENING of Wyck’s permanent full-size observation hive

11:30 am Honey Extraction – How Do You Get the Honey Away From the Bees?

Noon – 4 pm Home Brewing with Honey Event, Sponsored by The Colony Meadery  The Colony Meadery
Age 21 and older, join in the Rose Garden for a short presentation on meadmaking.  Sample and purchase commercial grade Mead from The Colony Meadery, who will be on site for educating us about and sharing this unique beverage.

Homebrewers’ Sip & Share Drop off:  Wyck House Thurs. Sep. 10, Fri. Sep. 11 from 10 am – 4 pm or Sat. Sep. 12 by 11 am.  Only those who enter homebrews will be allowed to “sip & share” the other entries and receive feedback.

12:30 pm Young Beekeepers Panel discussing why they got involved with bees and what keeps them interested.

1:30 pm Beginner Beekeeping – an overview of what is taught in the annual 3-day course, by the Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild

2:30 pm “Guided Tour” at the permanent full-size observation hive
