FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 6 at The Wagner Free Institute of Science Bring a picnic lunch if you like!(outside only)
10 AM to 7 PM 10AM to 12PM – Pollinator Power! – Join us for a lesson about pollination appropriate for children ages 6-12. Following the lesson there will be activities in the yard, lecture hall and in the museum including scavenger hunts, honey extraction, hive demonstrations, games and craft-making. Kids will have an opportunity to create bee shelters using paper straws generously donated by the Paramount Tube Division of Precision Products Group, Inc.This program is geared towards home school children but all are welcome to attend.

12PM to 1PM – Open hive talks and hive extractions.
5PM to 7PM – Honey Happy Hour – visitors ages 21 & over are invited to our annual celebration to kick off the festival. This year’s Honey Happy Hour will feature honey-brewed beer from Earth Bread + Brewery, Philly Home Brew Outlet, and local home-brewers and mead tastings from Cardinal Hollow Winery. There will be raffle prizes and food generously donated by Whole Foods Market®, open hive demonstrations, a video loop of a bee art installation at Temple Contempary, bee bearding by Don Shump of the Philadelphia Bee Company, honey-sweetened popsicles for sale from Lil’ Pop Shop and more!
