Bugs…Bugs…Bugs… But, it’s so much more!!!! We are so proud to have the Philadelphia Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion as a new sponsor for the Philadelphia Honey Festival! When you attend Honey Fest…
you will learn about the most successful group of animals in the world…insects!…..and that includes our honey bees…..
The Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion is home to many rare and exotic arthropods from all over the world and is an experience unlike any other in Greater Philadelphia.
Their interactive exhibits, hands-on learning, and high-tech displays offer a fascinating look into the world of insects. Their exhibits offer learning opportunities for visitors of all ages. And, for Honey Festival they will be bringing their show on the road!!!
Earlier this year, they debuted a 7,000 sq. foot butterfly pavilion. The pavilion, a permanent ecosphere featuring hundreds of live tropical and native butterflies, is one of the largest of its kind in North America. It’s a such a great exhibit, you really must visit!
Make sure you see the folks from the Insectarium at all three Honey Festival venues! They have lots great activities planned for adults and children alike at Glen Foerd on Thursday, Wyck House on Saturday and Bartram’s Garden on Sunday!
