This year each site of Philadelphia Honey Fest will have a variety of vendors. Go ahead and visit each site, for the full experience!
On Friday, September 9th, 6-9 pm, at Glen Foerd you’ll find JU Henna Tattoo, Truly Pure and Natural and St. Benjamin’s Brewing Company. You can sample honey based desserts and view cooking demos from Jamie Hollander Catering and Events along with fresh baked Lebkuchen from The Dining Car inspired by one of our previous blog posts (here). Glen Foerd will also have kids crafts and lawn games, so don’t hesitate to make it a family night out!
On Saturday, September 10th at Wyck Historic House, Garden and Farm you can put your Honey beer and mead making skills to the test with Colony Meadery‘s Mead Event Contest. Bring a mead in order to taste a mead! There will be locally sourced vendors, children’s activities, and a guided tour at their permanent full-size observation hive. Come ready to spend the day with on-going activities from 10-4 pm.
On Sunday, September 11th head to west Philadelphia to Bartram’s Garden. From 10-4pm you will find ongoing children’s activities, including costume making for the bee parade, free boating, Brewery demos from Philly Homebrew Outlet, and vendors including John & Kira’s Chocolates, Mithras Candles, Attic Apothecary, and more. Bring your appetite too because Philly Farm Truck and Dump ‘n’ Roll will be on-site to ease your hunger!
