Find yourself in the shoes of a seasoned beekeeper as Warren Graham Jr. delivers the keynote speech, “A Beekeeper’s Year,” at the Fourth Annual Philadelphia Honey Festival on Sunday, September 8.
Graham is a third generation Pennsylvania beekeeper from Edgemont Township in Delaware County. In his youth he traveled the world, often meeting and working with beekeepers in exotic apiaries. As a member of Eastern Apicultural Society, the Pennsylvania State Beekeepers Association, and the Chester County Beekeepers Association (CCBA), Graham is a determined mentor of young beekeepers. He has experience as a PA State Bee Inspector, past President of the CCBA and enthusiastic raconteur of early American bee craft.
Starting in July, after the honey harvest and taking us up through the following July honey harvest, Graham will guide you through the ins and outs of owning a hive. This is designed for folks interested in becoming beekeepers, as well as those who have already begun beekeeping. You’re sure to pick up a new tip as Warren demonstrates “how to” with his favorite equipment and gadgets.
