This Year – Probably a return to Live Events!


Philadelphia Honey Festival will return to its beloved partner locations to celebrate all things honey – during September, National Honey Month.


September 10:  Glen Foerd on the Delaware

Glen Foerd will be hosting the Honey Fest Kickoff Party with live music, food trucks, and honey-based cocktails

  • Open hive talk at 5:30  
  • Honey extraction demonstration at 6:00
  • Bee beard at 7:00
  • Open hive talk at 8:00 pm


September 11:  Wyck Historic House, Garden & Farm

Wyck will host an all-day festival with an array of bee-themed vendors, food trucks, and children’s activities on Wyck’s beautiful grounds.

  • Open hive talks at 10:30; 1:30; 3:30
  •  Honey extraction demonstrations at 12:00 and 2:00
  •  Bee beard at 2:30
  • Jun Tea: Kombucha made with honey at 11:00 and 1:00
  • Miranda Mote: Beekeeping in colonial Germantown at 3:00

September 12:  Bartram’s Garden

Bartram’s Garden will be closing out the festivities with community-based vendors, food trucks, and games, costume-making, science & music for children.

  •  Honey: A Cultural Symbol Through the Ages at 11:00 with Merissa McDonald
  • Open hive talk at 12:00
  • Honey extraction demonstration from 11:00 to 2:00
